Ringland Johnson Goes Green
Ringland-Johnson is committed to acting as a good steward of the environment. Not only do we have recycling bins throughout our office and shop areas, we also recycle construction debris on most of our job sites (not just those that are LEED projects). Employees carpool to and from work. We continually try to increase our awareness and training and currently have approximately 14 LEED trained employees. We also discuss environmental-friendly options with our clients when planning a project and perform a life cycle analysis on all design/build projects in order to ensure the most efficient system for each of our clients.
See our LEED certified projects in our Project Showcase.
We are proud of the recently completed $16 million, 80,000 square foot office building for Exelon Nuclear that is in the process of securing LEED Silver Certification.
“LEED” (“Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design”) is a system established by the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) which provides a systematic approach, with independent third-party verifications, to analysis and certify the environmental impact (or lack thereof) of projects. There are four possible levels of certification: basic LEED Certified, LEED Silver and LEED Gold and LEED Platinum. RJC is a member of the US Green Building Council.
