Why do you serve on a Board at OSF?
I believe in the Mission of the Foundation and am grateful to be able to play a small role in their efforts to help the less fortunate in our community.
What are the rewarding or challenging aspects you find serving on a board?
One responsibility of members of a non-profit board is to assist in fund raising. This is difficult to do in such challenging economic times, but when serving as chairs for the 2009 Pink Ball, Lauren and I were truly humbled to observe the generosity of the community, even during these times, and the incredible support for the Ball.
What would you like to see in the future for OSF Saint Anthony?
I would like to see small dogs (such as pugs!) included in the patient animal therapy program.
What are your hobbies?
I enjoy traveling with my family, coaching my son’s soccer team, hiking, spinning, playing with our pugs, and enjoying Lauren’s love and knack to entertain.
What is your favorite book/movie in the past year?
My favorite move in the past year is “Slumdog Millionaire”.
What is something that not many people know about you?
I’ve been on a plane landing on a U.S. Navy Aircraft carrier! |
