ROSCOE – Spending is on target for the Village Hall renovations project, which is nearly finished. Treasurer Don Elliot updated trustees Thursday night during their regular Village Board meeting. Included in the list of bills that were approved was a payment to contractor Ringland-Johnson for about $200,000.
Elliot said the original project contract was approved for about $1.1 million. About $111,000 of that amount is left after the bill was approved Thursday. That’s where officials expected to be at this time.
Efforts to improve and add on to the facility, 10631 Main St., Started in July 2007, and construction started last June. A few outdoor fixes still need to be made once the weather improves.
Trustees have discussed that the project could come in about $100,000 less than estimated, and the village is supposed to receive $100,000 in assistance from the state for construction costs.
Village Board meetings are being held at the new hall, but not all services are back there yet. |
